Recruitment film to showcase the benefits of working in a Deichmann store.

To help with their recruitment drive, Deichmann commissioned us to create a series of short films about what it’s like to work there.

Real employees telling their real stories have power, and telling stories through film is what we do best.

We had the opportunity to film in one of their flagship stores and spend the day with the Deichmann staff. Through several interviews we got to know some key characters and job roles and developed stories based upon their answers.

Working with Woven Films was a real joy. They are accessible, approachable, understanding and responsive. They are a true partner. We would recommend others to work with them too.

Dan is the smiley one. Years of experience as a freelance camera operator and editor helped him hone his filmmaking skills, as well as perfect his smile. Always the optimist, Dan specialises in making the mundane look spectacular. You will find Dan behind the camera, directing or editing.

Meet Phil. You might find him in funny shoes, wearing a hard hat or sporting silky lycra. Phil is what we affectionately call in the industry, a ‘bike guy’. Phil cut his teeth making films for the bicycle industry, he’s forgotten more about filming 2 wheels than most of us will ever know.

Phil brings a wealth of agency experience as a producer, camera and editor.

Alex Duncan

Filmmaker

Alex is fresh-faced from the Big Smoke. In the end, Bristol’s laid-back, coffee-sipping and cider-guzzling culture proved too much of a draw (it gets them all).
Like a clock, his last job involved a lot of Tik-Tok but he’s also a master with a good story.
Multi-talented, you’ll find him out on shoots and in the studio editing.

Adam Gasson

Bristol based photographer

Adam’s our partner photographer extraordinaire. He works in editorial and commercial.

He’s a ninja on shoots, there’s not a loose flash or stray lens hood anywhere to be found.

He works seamlessly in the background with the video team until it’s his turn to step up and then captures beautiful images.
